We believe in empowering educators, families, and communities to reclaim childhood as a time of joy, exploration, and deep learning.
About
Wildlings Ed began as part of The Rewild Project, evolving from holiday clubs funded by the Department for Education. Now an independent Community Interest Company (CIC), we are committed to providing rich, meaningful educational experiences that honour childhood, creativity, and connection to the natural world. Founders Scott and Emma, both nearing qualification as Steiner Early Years professionals (Level 5), bring years of experience in holistic and nature-based education.
Emma has been involved with Steiner education for the last 16 years, co-founding Apple Blossom Kindergarten in Manchester alongside a group of passionate parents. She later integrated the philosophy into her work with The Rewild Project’s home education days and found such richness and wisdom in the pedagogy that she decided to undertake Level 5 Early Years Educator training with NESWEC (North England Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Studies)
A Steiner setting offers a warm, home-like environment where children engage in purposeful daily tasks, immerse themselves in deep imaginative play, and thrive within mixed-age groups ranging from 2 to 6 years old. These settings foster a sense of family and belonging, allowing older children to model and support younger ones while developing their own confidence and leadership.
Our approach incorporates local and world festivals into the yearly calendar, celebrating rhythm, tradition, and community in a way that nurtures children's connection to their environment.
